Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor
After your intake, individual sessions will help us build rapport, trust, and develop your treatment plan goals. You will soon see more clearly where you are headed and where we need to grow, change directions, and address any "stuckness".
I see individuals for Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, marital concerns, parenting needs, and more. As someone in recovery myself, I also have a passion for supporting those with Alcohol and Substance Abuse and Dependence.
It is rare that I find an individual or family that does not have a Mental Health or Substance Use disorder in their immediate family.
Whether you need sessions that include your spouse, partner, children, or siblings; YOU determine who best joins you to help you accomplish your goals.
I'll support your input and challenge you to include the people you need to work with the most when you are ready!
And I'll be there along the way to guide, mentor, and encourage everyone involved.
Preteens, Tweens & Adolescents
Children & Adolescents have Mental Health & Addictions needs as well. Not only are they struggling with depression/anxiety, but adding in social media, video games, pressure to drink and vape, and its a recipe for many issues to come up in school at home and even legally.
I am seeing more and more children and teens ask for help and talk with each other and encourage each other to get help! After 26 years in this field, I'm proud that we truly are reducing the stigma! I am passionate about this population and am proud to work with all kids and their families on these issues.
Parents sometimes wonder why their kiddos can open up to a "stranger". I often explain to them that all of us tend to open up to mom about one thing, dad about another, friends about certain things... To have one person to "verbally vomit" to and be unbiased, they don't have to worry about emotions getting in the way. Therapy is truly a gift you can offer your child to help them through tough times in their young lives.
Healing is about remembering who you are.
It's about integrating the fragmented parts and
being your whole self.
Lisa is one of the kindest, most compassionate and empathetic people I have known.
